Hi, I'm new here. I'm looking for Team Canada http://teamcanada.freeforums.org/ which has been around since BOINC-wide teams were invented but can only find what appears to be a home-made 'Canada' one.
Can you turn on BOINC-wide teams please? It's off by default in BOINC apparently.

Hi,
The team import function is already active. It runs every 24 hours. I'm unsure as to why your team is not imported. I will look into in.

Thank you. I was told by another project that "BOINC-wide" team import has to be turned on specifically as it is off by default.
I guess you could say there are two types of teams, individual and BOINC-wide.
That one is our National team after all.

When I did a search for Canada I find this:
http://boinc.ucd.ie/fmah/team_search.php?keywords=&country=Canada&type=0&submit=Search

Also when I do a search for your Team at Free-DC, a stats page, I found this:
http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=team&proj=gen&team=31

and this when I searched for one of your users, Pawly:
http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=search&proj=&team=&name=pawly&exact=N&cross=N

When I myself joined here I had someone on my own Team create the Team page here, apparently even though it is a known Team an actual account must be created.

Nothing needs to be created. All the Admin has to do is turn on BOINC-wide Team fetch in BOINC settings. (It's off by default).

Your second link is the team I would like to join in this project, not the created one.

Out of all the projects I've ever crunched, this one and Physics@home are the only two that seem to have difficulties with this issue. The latter has refused to do it thus far but I'm working on that as I can't be the only one affected.

Let's see what Kevin comes up with.

Kevin, all that needs to be done is BOINC-wide team fetch be turned on, as the default for BOINC is off.

Any chance of getting it done as Team Canada is our National team and I am sure that I am not alone, there are dozens of BOINC-wide treams currently shut out of this list.

Hi Peter,

Kevin is busy finishing his PhD at the moment. He'll be available to deal with these issues in the next few weeks.

Thanks for your patience.

ciao,
Ant

So as quite a bit of time has passed, how about giving us all a Christmas Present by turning on BOINC-wide team fetch?

Hello,
Several days ago I created a BOINC-wide team here http://boinc.berkeley.edu/teams/team_search.php. Its name "Samara". This is Local/regional team. Unfortunately it's not available in the list of teams provided by FiND@Home.

Am I missing something, or there is an issue with team import?

Thanks.

Nevermind. I created the team manually.
