Can someone please fix this, it's been over 22hrs since I posted in another thread.

I've not gotten any new work for more then the 22hrs.

Does anyone on staff read these forums?

Full again :)

BOINC team changed the code of server_status.php, so I can't apply my old code to put the progress bar again. I'll dig up how to add the progress bar, but later.

Ben, I think we might be ready for the next two million, when you have a moment?

On the plus side, these outages help measure progress since we've lost the nifty progress bar.

Copy/paste my post :)

I was in London without my computer and I've been busy this week. I'll promise you more tasks tomorrow.

The current tasks are very short run times. I think people are downloading them a bit faster than the server can create them. I've had instances of there being no tasks available but it reties in a minute and tasks are available.

Getting new tasks is still a problem! Tasks ready to send zero!

If you're looking at the project status page then those number are updated once an hour and only reflect a moment in time.

You could try increasing the amount of work you have on hand by increasing the size of the work buffer. Go into the boinc manager, find where you can adjust your computing preferences and on the network preferences tab increase the work buffer. Then you should to have a bigger queue of work to do. That should get you through the times where it's hard to get work. Keep in mind that there is a limit on the number of tasks you can have at any time. It's limited to 50 tasks per processor. So, for example, on my 4 core processor, I can have no more than 200 tasks at any time. I have a 1 day buffer and easily hit that limit. In fact, I can rip through 200 tasks on my 4 core processor in less than 2 hours.

Hope this helps.

I'm running three projects and happy to be a part of this one. It's been a week or more since I crunched numbers. Are there not enough work units to go around? Is the project still in 'full swing'?
Is there an 'optimal' setting for the computer configuration to get work when it is available?
thanks.
